We've done everything from boomer rock, to Buckethead. Chris is great at sprinkling in just the right amount of theory to help students understand why a song sounds the way it does, picking up on other players tendancies and techniques and incorporating them into your own playing. He's patient, funny, and above all things an incredible guitar player, teacher and musician.

I started with zero musical experience and also at a late age. I was 58. So I needed someone very patient. That is Chris. I’m doing things I never thought I’d be able to do and I owe that all to Chris. He’s never made me feel that I couldn’t do something or had no business playing the guitar. He’s a good guy on top of all of that and we consider him part of the family. Especially Otis, our dog. I would recommend Chris for whatever level you’re at. His knowledge is endless.

I am a 64 year old woman who wanted to learn to play electric guitar blues lead. I have worked with musicians who teach and have been very disappointed. As soon as I read Chris’ profile, I knew he would be a good teacher. I am a professional tutor and I could tell by the way Chris wrote about teaching that he would be skilled. I was absolutely accurate. Chris knows a lot about music and guitar playing, and he is also thoughtful and very present to the student. He is flexible and can move with a student who needs that.
